Wanting versus receiving

Wanting is desire. Receiving is participation. If you want a new career but dismiss every opportunity unless it feels perfectly safe, or want more money while avoiding your finances, the desire may be real while the readiness is incomplete.

Find the hidden rule

Write your goal and finish this sentence: “If I actually got this, I would have to…” Your answers may reveal beliefs such as needing to do everything alone, needing certainty or fearing what success would change. Choose one small behaviour that demonstrates openness: ask, apply, negotiate, learn, accept support or take the next step.
